My avatar is a male, 20-year-old University of Florida student that has classes five days a week and drives his scooter to every single one of them. He may be only 20 years old, however the large amount of responsibilities he has taken on has made him mature a lot more over the last few years. His classes range from nine in the morning to three in the afternoon everyday and a majority of them are in Turlington Plaza and around Library West. He dedicates a lot of time to the University of Florida Cicerones that require giving tours on campus and playing on the UF water polo team which requires getting to the University of Florida Student Rec building daily. He spends a lot of his time studying at Library West and being involved in organizations on campus. He relies heavily on his Phoenix Pro white scooter to get around town and is consistently seen on it throughout most days. He is so busy that he hardly has any time for much else apart from his commitments. He wishes he had more time for art and literature, however, his main focuses at the moment are on developing himself as a professional as efficiently as possible.
I do have a few things in common with the avatar such as spending a great deal of time studying at library West and in the Turlington area. I also am invested in developing professionally above most other things in my life and also use a scooter to get around campus. I don't believe this is a coincidence because it appears to be far easier to determine an issue through personal experience. I'm sure I subconsciously found this opportunity through issues I have faced and the avatar seems to represent my position relatively well.

Hey Rob,
ReplyDeleteI think a key aspect your customer has is their frequency on campus. I am glad you decided to expand deeply on that aspect for those types of students are the ones most directly affected by lack of scooter parking. It is one thing to struggle one day out of the week to find parking but it is another to struggle every single day.
Thanks,
Michelle
Hey Rob,
ReplyDeleteAs being a student at the University of Florida, I know vast amounts of individuals take the scooter to travel around the huge school. Parking can be hard to find and if spots are available they could be three blocks away, making the walk inconvenient. I think a great idea can be creating a new system at UF that students can reserved parking spots instead of creating new parking spaces. I think the process will be easier and more interesting to the UF body.
Rob,
ReplyDeleteI am with you that it can be easy to relate to your avatar because of personal experience. I feel that the experience makes you want to do more about something so someone else doesn't have to go through the same thing. You also did a very good job of describing your avatar. Being a student athlete is already hard enough but having to deal with parking can make it a whole lot harder than it should be.
