My Entrepreneurship Story

I was once visiting a music store looking over the different array of guitar pedals when a man approached me. He looked to be around 25 years old and started talking to me about the company he had started up. He explained how he had purchased a large sum of different pedals and created a company in which individuals could pay a monthly fee and rent out a different pedal every month. He explained how great yet how difficult it was being self employed. He began with only 10 subscribers and now has thousands. I have attached a picture of the founder and the name of his company below. I understood that it was not easy but to me the idea of working with something I was so passionate about seemed amazing. I took this course to gain a better understanding of the type of mentality necessary to succeed as an entrepreneur. My goal is to hopefully own my own company one day in which I can make instruments more accessible to poorer areas around the world.

  1. Rob,
I think it is great to hear of different companies and how they began. I would of never thought of that as a business idea but that is because that is not necessarily a passion of mine. I think that is what makes entrepreneurship so intriguing is that we can work on something that is a passion of ours and turn it into a living. I too have aspirations of starting my own company and just like this fellow I know it will be extremely hard but it is worth a try.

  2. Rob,

I thinks it is awesome that you have found something you are passionate about and have started to take steps towards pursuing it in the long run. I think the key to being a successful entrepreneur is using your time and energy towards something that sparks a flame inside of you. I truly hope this passion carries you forward in your career.

    Best,
