You: I am currently a junior at the University of Florida and have had plenty of experience with the scooter parking situation on campus. I would like to consider myself an outgoing individual with a decent amount of involvement on campus that has allowed me to gain even more insight on this topic. If I were to create this parking area I know that it would greatly benefit me by providing me with much greater access to my classes and reducing stress in the overall task of getting on campus.
What are you offering to customers? My service is providing a location for University of Florida students to park their vehicles in some of the most useful and convenient locations near campus.
Who are you offering it to? I am offering this service to the University of Florida Students that use their scooters or cars to get to the west side of campus.
Why do they care? Customers care and will use this service because it is currently almost impossible to find parking on this side of campus. In not being able to find parking students are often late to class or where ever they need to get to wherever they need to get to on campus. This leads to a lot of stress on students all over campus.
What are your core competencies? What I am offering is parking in an are where it is for the most part not offered or available elsewhere. I would be taking basically the only available space in the area and using it in a way that isn't offered any where else in the area.
After the revisions I made and reviewing everything I have written I have realized that some of the elements that I didn't believe fit together now seem to do. Some of the weaker points seem to be the location of the parking area, the initial funds necessary to start the project, and arranging the parking spaces. Apart from those things that can be established over time, everything seems to work together.
The two main points I received from the feedback was expanding my targeted customers and elaborating more on explaining the concept itself. I was able to expand my customers by adding on parking availability to cars thanks to one of the comments questioning the availability. I also was able to elaborate more on what exactly I was providing by explaining in greater detail how this will be the much needed parking option in popular areas where there is none. These points have definitely allowed me to refine my vision for the overall project.
I also agree that expanding your target market could help with getting this done. You can add parking spots for like motorcycles and smart cars. Another big service that has been successful recently is those new scooter apps like Bird which is allows you to just pick a scooter up and ride it to where you need to go for a very low price. Maybe this would be a better solution to fix this parking issue.

ReplyDeleteI glad you were able to take the feedback and use it to adjust your second Idea Napkin. I definitely believe that parking on campus is still one of the biggest issues that most student have somewhat dealt with. Continue to work on your idea and find location where parking will be most beneficial to the student body.
